Evan Axell – Captain
Evan Axell is a defensemen from Plymouth, MN. Prior to joining the NM Ice Wolves in their inaugural 2022-23 season, Axell played 2 season of juniors in the USPHL Premier for the Steele County Blades. In those two years Axell played in 79 regular season games and racked up 57 points (11 goals, 46 assists). Axell played in 4 playoff games for Steele County and had an assist. Axell will wear the “C” for the New Mexico Ice Wolves.
Ryan Kerr- Alternate Captain
Ryan Kerr is a defensemen out of Redford, MI. Kerr played two seasons of juniors prior to joining the NM Ice Wolves with the Steele County Blades in the USPHL Premier. In those two seasons Kerr played in 82 games including 4 playoff games. He had 6 goals and 19 assists for a total of 25 points in his time with Steele County. Kerr will wear an “A” for the New Mexico Ice Wolves.
Erik Larsen – Alternate Captain
Erik Larsen is a defensemen out of Pequot Lakes, MN. Larsen joins the NM Ice Wolves after a season with a brief stop in Canada playing in the MJHL and then playing 42 games with the Mason City Toros in the NA3HL. Larsen had 12 points in his time with Mason City including a goal, and 11 assists. Larsen played in two playoff games last season for Mason City. Larsen will wear an “A” for the New Mexico Ice Wolves!
