The New Mexico Ice Wolves defeated the El Paso Rhinos 5-3 Sunday, January 25 2026. The Ice Wolves opened with three goals in the first period two from Calahan Butler and one from Connor Hanley. Ryan Hoogsteen would add another 15 seconds into the second period. Carter Tuplin would get one back for the Rhinos. However, Tanner Ross would have an answer less than two minutes later for the 5-1 lead after two periods. The Rhinos would score the only two goals in the third period but it would not be enough as Nathan McFall would stop 57 of the 60 El Paso shots. The Ice Wolves are officially bound for the 2026 Fraser Cup Playoffs.
