Tulsa Jr. Oilers to begin play in the NA3HL during the 2024-25 season

DALLAS, TEXAS – The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced that it has approved the membership of the Tulsa Jr. Oilers. The Tulsa Jr. Oilers are located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and will begin play in the NA3HL’s South Division beginning in the 2024-25 season. The team will play out of the WeStreet Ice Center.

The Tulsa Jr. Oilers are owned by Tulsa Oilers Hockey Club, LLC. The WeStreet Ice Center is owned by Tulsa Ice Centers, LLC, and both are owned by NL Sports, LLC which is owned by Andy Scurto. Scurto has a passion for hockey and sports management and has been involved in sports management for over five years. He also owns the Tulsa Oilers professional hockey team in the ECHL.

“The Tulsa Oilers have a great fan base and desire to continue our growth of hockey in the Tulsa area with a NA3HL team. We are confident we have a great facility for the team with our new ice center and we will have a large fan base that follows the team,” stated Scurto.

“We are excited to continue our growth in the South Division with the addition of the Tulsa Jr. Oilers. This will be the first junior hockey team of its kind in Tulsa and with the already established teams and growth of the NA3HL’s South Division, this is an exciting addition to the footprint. The fans will enjoy some of the great rivalries with other teams in region,” said NAHL Commissioner and President Mark Frankenfeld.

The Tulsa Oilers have existed as four separate franchises in five different leagues over their 90-year history. Scurto purchased the team in 2021. Scurto founded ISCS in 1994 which quickly became the industry’s leading insurance-tech platform. ISCS was acquired by its largest competitor – Guidewire in 2017. He has more than 30 years’ experience in IT and development, which includes 26 years working specifically with insurance industry systems. He received his B.S. in computer engineering from San Jose State University. Scurto’s passion for hockey is a family affair as his daughter, Victoria, plays for Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania and is team captain.
